According to the Air Force, the new aircraft will also be equipped with electrical power upgrades, medical facilities and self-defense systems. The first aircraft will be used by the US President by 2027 and the second by 2028. The current type of aircraft was first used by former US President George W. Bush Sr. in 1989, serving until 1993.
