Sana’a (Web Desk) After an oil tanker overturned on a public highway in Ib governorate of Yemen, the road was filled with a honey-like substance, but now the truth has emerged as to what was actually loaded in the container. The video of the incident has also been posted on social media, which has drawn strong reactions from users.
According to al-Arabiya, consumers say that it is gross negligence to load honey on a fuel tanker. believed that this was not surprising, especially since it often happens in areas controlled by the Houthi militia.
In a video posted on social media in Yemen, a passerby commented, “Honey tank overturned on the road”. Others pointed to fraud by some honey traders in the region, insisting that it was liquid molasses.
It was later discovered that the fuel tank was actually carrying about 100,000 liters of industrial molasses, which had derailed, but a local official in the governorate later clarified that the molasses had been transferred to a fuel tanker. It is intended only for use as a forage additive, soil fertilizer and bee pasture and is not intended for human consumption.
