The court awarded such punishment to the criminal who killed his wife for refusing to have marital relations.

New Delhi (Monitoring Desk) In India, the court has sentenced the criminal who killed his wife for refusing to have a marital relationship in such a way that human rights activists protested. According to the Times of India, in its decision, the court interpreted the wife’s refusal to have marital relations as provocation, stating that “the criminal attacked his wife due to a sudden and intense provocation, as the wife pushed him back.” He had refused the marital relationship.

In the judgment of the court, it is written that the wife pushed the criminal back and said that she will not have marital relationship with him but will do it with another man. There was an argument between the husband and wife over this and the husband stabbed him to death.

According to the report, the 34-year-old Srinivasan was able to prove in court that the victim had an affair with another man and had sex with him instead of her husband. Accepting this excuse of the criminal, the court has sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment.

It should be noted that Srinivasan killed his wife in 2018. At night, after stabbing his wife to death, he slept by spraying mosquito repellent on her body. The next day, when the police reached the house after reporting the victim’s mother, the body of the victim was recovered. Instead of running away or lying, Srinivasan cooperated with the police and told them the whole story.
