In Modi’s India, cities are now unsafe, including Ghazipur, Lucknow, Muslim identity…

New Delhi (Daily Pakistan Online) Indian ruling party member of parliament Sangam Lal Gupta has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he has proposed to change the Muslim names of the cities to Hindu names.

According to private TV Express News, the world media is raising the question whether extremism will ever end in India or not. The followers of Hindutva did not spare even the cities in the fire of hatred.

Indian MP Sangam Lal Gupta has written a letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Yogi Adyanath, in which he proposed to change the name of Lucknow, the center of Muslim culture, to Laxmanpur or Lakhanpur. Not only this, it has also been proposed to change the name of Ghazipur to Vishwamitra Nagar and Bahraich to Saldev Nagar.

It should be noted that Lucknow, a city of 2.8 million, consists of 29% Muslims and other minorities. The limit is that protests are being made by the followers of Hindutva to change the name of this city.

In the past too, the Modi government has changed the names of many cities to Hindu style. In 2018, the famous Muslim city of Allahabad was renamed Prayagraj, in 2021 Hoshangabad was renamed Narmadapuram, while in 2022 Osmanabad was renamed Drashiv. Questions are already being raised on Indian extremism in the international media. The question is whether the Muslim identity can be erased from the history of the subcontinent by these superficial measures, the answer is definitely no because no one can erase history.
