Music streaming company Spotify has also announced hundreds of layoffs. Tech companies around the world have laid off millions of workers due to a decline in advertising and the global recession. Just a few days ago, Microsoft and Amazon fired thousands of employees and now the same is happening with Spotify.
According to a foreign news agency, the music streaming company (Spotify) is preparing to lay off 6% of its employees worldwide.
Spotify has formally announced the layoffs, saying that the layoffs are being made globally and will begin with staff in the United States.
Among the layoffs is Spotify’s chief content and advertising business officer, Dan Ostorff.
