WhatsApp is preparing to bring a new feature for its users.
According to media reports, the WhatsApp company is gearing up to bring a new ‘Voice Status Updates’ feature to Android Beta, under which users will be able to share voice notes in status.
Beta testers can now share a voice note as a status update by accessing the new feature in the text status section.
The maximum recording time for voice notes is 30 seconds, users need to update their version of WhatsApp to listen to voice notes shared via status.
Voice notes shared via Status will be end-to-end encrypted and can only be heard by those users select in their privacy settings.
Like photos and videos, voice notes shared via status will disappear after 24 hours.
Users can also delete a voice note after posting it as a status update.
Note that this new feature will roll out to more users in the coming weeks.
