New Delhi (Monitoring Desk) In India, an eighth grade student put a knife on the neck of a sixth grade student and demanded vermilion. According to the Times of India, the incident took place in the city of Maharajganj in the state of Uttar Pradesh. A 16-year-old boy barged into a 14-year-old girl’s house, held a knife to her neck, and apparently married her with vermilion on her demand.
SHO of Maharajganj Police Station Ravi Kumar Roy said that the boy had a friend who was also an accomplice. The girl was cleaning the house when the two boys jumped over the wall and entered and put a knife to her neck. The girl was alone in the house at the time of the incident.
When the girl’s father, who is a driver by profession, returned home, the girl told him the whole incident and he took her to the police station and lodged an FIR against the accused. The police have detained the accused. According to the police, the boy’s father runs a shoe shop.
Police said that the boy and the girl used to study in the same school and the boy used to bully her in the school. The girl told her parents, on which they admitted the girl to another school. On this, the accused entered the house and planned to fulfill the demand of the girl and executed it.
