Geneva (Daily Pakistan Online) French President Macron has announced 100 million dollars in aid for flood victims in Pakistan at the Geneva conference.
Speaking at the ceremony, French President Macron said that there is no doubt that the floods have affected Pakistan, Pakistan bravely faced the destruction caused by the floods, will provide all possible support for the rehabilitation of the flood victims, from international organizations. I also demand Pakistan’s help, I am ready to provide sports to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on a personal level. On behalf of the French people and government, we express our sympathy to the people of Pakistan.
Addressing the event, UN Secretary Antonio Guterres said that he was surprised to see the spirit of Pakistanis even in difficult situations, large-scale measures are needed to restore infrastructure, countries affected by climate change need to be supported. A large part has been affected by the recent floods in Pakistan, I went and witnessed the disaster in Pakistan myself, I was heartbroken to see the scenes of the flood situation in Pakistan, around 80 million people have been displaced by the floods.
