A helper robot is being trialled to ease the strain on doctors and medical staff in British hospitals since the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to international media reports, this robot has been named Milton who is doing his duty at Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKYH). It was tested at the end of November, which is still ongoing and will continue to be tested next year. Currently it carries medicine and essential items from one place to another and assists doctors.
A London-based company specializing in artificial intelligence and robotics has been developed by the Academy of Robotics in London. The company has been building automated robots that can help humans for a long time. These include the electric autonomous vehicle CarGo. Thanks to cargo, goods and medicines were delivered to people’s homes during the epidemic.
Milton robot goes to the drug warehouse or shop on the orders of the doctors and takes all the medicines from there and delivers them to the ward.
