Social networking website Twitter has imposed a new ban on users, announcing that sharing a link to another social media platform will result in account removal. Elon Musk also conducted a new poll to find out the opinion about him.
In the statement issued by Twitter, it has been clarified that not only the tweet but also the account will be removed if the link of any third party social media website is shared.
Twitter users will also not be allowed to share usernames of Instagram or other social media accounts, the statement said.
After this new policy of Twitter, any user will not be able to share their Instagram account link or username in the tweet.
Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey questioned this new policy, writing only one word ‘Why?’
After the announcement of the new policy, Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter and a billionaire, has also conducted a poll to find out the opinion of users that ‘Should I be fired as the head of Twitter?’ Elon Musk wrote that he will fully follow the results of this poll.

Last week, Twitter also suspended the accounts of journalists reporting on Elon Musk, including journalists affiliated with the American newspaper New York Times, Washington Post, television channel CNN and other media groups. Accounts were restored.
