Kabul: The Pakistani embassy has been attacked in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. According to the report, there was an attack on the compound of the Pakistani embassy in Kabul, in which the head of the mission Obaidur Rehman Nizamani was targeted. However, they are safe while a security guard was seriously injured.

The statement said that the head of the mission is safe, but a Pakistani security guard soldier Israr Mohammad Nazim was seriously injured while guarding Al Amor. The government of Pakistan has strongly condemned the attack on the embassy in Kabul and the attempt to target the governor.

Demanding the Afghan government, the statement further said that the interim government in Afghanistan should immediately conduct a comprehensive investigation into the attack and arrest the perpetrators and take action against them. The Foreign Office said that immediate steps have also been taken to ensure the safety and security of Pakistani diplomatic personnel in Afghanistan.

Kabul Police Spokesman Khalid Zadran said that the security forces arrived at the embassy as soon as they learned about the incident and stopped the firing and arrested a suspect. He said that weapons have also been recovered from the accused, but the details will be released later. The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the incident and Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Qahir Balkhi said in a statement that the security agencies will investigate the incident seriously and those involved will be punished.
