Airtel launched 5G Plus service in Patna

Bharti Airtel, a leading private sector telecom service provider, yesterday launched its fifth generation ‘5G’ plus service of the telecom network in Bihar’s capital Patna.

Commenting on the launch of 5G service, Bharti Airtel CEO (Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha) Anupam Arora said, “I am very happy to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Patna. Airtel customers now have a super fast network. Work can be accessed at speeds 20-30 times faster than existing 4G speeds. We are in the process of expanding it across the city, offering our users gaming, multiple chats, instant photo uploads and HD video. It will provide faster access to activities like streaming.”

Mr. Arora added that Airtel 5G Plus services are being made available to customers in a phased manner as the company builds and deploys its network. Customers with 5G-enabled devices can use the faster Airtel 5G Plus network at no extra cost until the rollout becomes more widespread. Airtel services are available at select locations including Patna Sahib Gurudwara, Patna Railway Station, Dak Bangla, Maurya Lok, Bailey Road, Boring Road, City Center Mall, Patilputra Industrial Area. Airtel is expanding the network to make its services available across the city.

Airtel 5G Plus service is now also available at Patna Airport, making it the first airport in the state to offer super-fast 5G service, the CEO said. Airtel customers traveling to and from Patna can enjoy high-speed Airtel 5G Plus at the airport terminal. Passengers can enjoy high-speed 5G on their mobile phones at arrival and departure terminals, lounges, boarding gates, migration and immigration counters, security areas, baggage claim belts, parking areas. Along with Bengaluru airport, Pune, Varanasi and Nagpur are the other airports where Airtel 5G Plus service is available.
