According to the details, the arrested accused has been identified as Aftab Amin Poonawala, he killed his 26-year-old lover Shraddha on May 18. The police say that the accused cut the girl’s body into 35 pieces and bought a new refrigerator to store them. After that he kept throwing pieces of it in different areas of the city for 18 days and he used to do this at two o’clock in the night so that no one could see him.

Aftab and Shraddha liked each other but were living together unmarried in a rented flat in Mehroli area of ​​Delhi, Shraddha was working in the call center of a multinational company in Mumbai where she met Poonawalla. , the two started dating each other and later they shifted to the same flat, the girl’s parents refused to accept the relationship after which they both came to Delhi.

This matter came to light when the victim completely cut off contact with her parents and the girl’s family members also checked the daughter’s social media account, which had not been updated for a long time, which raised their suspicions. Further, the girl’s father came to Delhi to find out his daughter and when he reached the flat, it was locked.

The girl’s father contacted the police station and lodged a missing report, the father also told the police about his daughter’s relationship with Aftab and suspected his involvement in her daughter’s disappearance. The police said that actually both of them met through a dating application after which they started dating and came to Delhi from Mumbai.

The police said that after the complaint of the father, Aftab Poonawalla was kept under watch and then he was arrested from his residence in Delhi.
