According to the report, a three-member committee was initially formed by the federal government to investigate Arshad Sharif’s murder, which included a representative of the ISI along with the FIA and the IB. At the last minute, the JIT was reshuffled and the JIT was reduced to two members by removing ISI Lt. Col. Saad Ahmed.
This two-member JIT recorded the statements of two Pakistani brothers, Waqar Ahmed and Khurram Ahmed. Waqar has said in his statement that he kept Arshad Sharif at his farmhouse on the request of one of his friends. Arshad Sharif was living with Waqar for two months.
